Shot in 2023, Andrew Patterson’s “The Rivals of Amziah King” will finally be having its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March. Kurt Russell and Matthew McConaughey stars in Patterson’s sophomore effort. A first look image was released, and can be seen above.

A curious development in the saga to bring “Assassination,” co-written by David Mamet and Nicholas Celozzi, to the big screen (via Deadline). The film is supposed to start production in April.

Here’s another remake, or as industry folk like to call it these days, a “reimagining.” Sidney Lumet’s 1964 cold-war classic “Fail-Safe” will be remade by Joe Berlinger, the director known for the classic true-crime docuseries “Paradise Lost.”
