Looks like $1.8 million previews for John Krasinski’s “IF.” Despite mixed reviews, initial audience reception seems very good. However, it’s only projected to have a $30M+ weekend, on a $110M budget. It’s possible there will be a lot of family walkups over the weekend, at least that’s what Paramount is hoping for this film.

The story might, or might not, be about the rise of Vladmir Putin in Russia. It’s certainly hinted at in the press release, which means it could very well tackle the ascendency of the Russian President.
