Daniel Richtman is reporting that a “Deep Impact” reboot is in the works over at Paramount. Marc Webb (“500 Days of Summer”) is set to direct. The 1998 original has its fans, but they are mostly just amused by the cheesiness of that film. I don’t think anybody takes “Deep Impact” very seriously.
