An update on Alex Garland’s “Elden Ring,” which I tackled over the weekend and is set to start production this week: Nick Offerman has joined the cast in Scotland.
Offerman joins Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw, and Cailee Spaeny — more actors will surely be announced in the coming days. He previously played the U.S. President in Garland’s “Civil War,” released in 2023.
Released in 2022 and co-created with George R. R. Martin, “Elden Ring” sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It’s being backed by A24, which is eyeing a 2027 release for the film.
