God bless Wes Anderson. He's one of the few original voices left in Hollywood. His "Isle of Dogs" opened earlier this year to positive reviews but also a backlash about Japanese cultural appropriation, which I refuse to delve into here.
Anderson is reportedly already prepping his next feature, his 10th, according to France's Premiere. The writer-director has been scouting location and settled for Angoulême, France as the location for his next movie with production set to begin in February 2019 and wrapping on May 2019. Anderson is known to shoot his live-action works on location, which would suggest his 10th film will be set in France.
No details are known yet about this new film from Anderson and whether it'll be in stop-motion form like "Isle of Dogs" and "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" were, but the director took a break from animation after 2009's "Fox" and made two live action films, in a span of 9 years, before going back to stop-motion animation with "Dogs."
The Anderson peaks for me are "The Royal Tenenbaums," "Moonrise Kingdom" and "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" and "The Grand Budapest Hotel."
