Teri Garr, so good in Sydney Pollack’s Tootsie, Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein” and Steven Spielberg’s “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” died Tuesday. She was 79. Her long battle with MS has ended. Very sad news. Some of her other notable credits include “After Hours,” “The Conversation,” and “The Black Stallion.” I’ll be taking out my copy of “Tootsie” from the shelf tonight in her honor.
