I am, quite honestly, shocked that Steve McQueen's "Widows" and Barry Jenkins' "If Beale Street Could Talk" won't make it to Telluride this year. Both are alumni of the fest, especially Jenkins ( a former volunteer of the festival, who was the toast of the town back in 2016 with "Moonlight")
Canadian and International Premieres that are probably Telluride-bound:
"Cold War," "Dogman," "First Man," "Non-Fiction," "Roma," "Shoplifters," "Can You Ever Forgive Me?" "The Front Runner," "The Old Man and the Gun," "What They Had," "White Boy Rick."
NOT going to Telluride because they are listed as World or International Premieres:
"If Beale Street Could Talk," "Widows," "Beautiful Boy," "A Star Is Born," "Burning," "Capernaum," "Everybody Knows," "Life Itself," "Sunset," "The Sisters Brothers"
Still possible for Telluride:
"Peterloo," "The Other Side of the Wind," "Boy Erased," "On the Basis of Sex," "Happy as Lazarro," "Backseat," "The Favourite," "Mary Queen of Scots."
