Golden Globes [Live Updates]

Golden Globes 2019 Full Winners List, Updating Live

8:11pm - I remember a time when Jim Carrey was actually funny.

8:13 pm:-  Sandra Oh: “This moment of change…I see you, I see you, I see you.”

8:14 pm - Michael Douglas wins for "The Kominski Method." Haven't seen it but you bet I was pulling for Bill Hader's tremendous work in "Barry." “Chuck Lorre thinks getting old is funny.” “This has to go for my 102-year-old father Kirk…”

8:18 pm - I'm perfectly fine with "Spider-Man: Into the Spidervserse" winning Animated feature. A visual groundbreaker, but my heart will always be with Wes.

8:27 pm - "The Bodyguard" wins. Who cares?

8:29 pm - "The Americans" wins Best TV Drama Series. A very good show that I feel does not merit the "one of the greatest ever" tag that many critics have been giving it. A few very dull episodes in this series, but many exceptional as well.

8:41 pm: The Globes are the absolute worst to honor legitimate artful television. Case in point; "A Very English Scandal," WTF?! Ben Whishaw wins for Best Supporting Actor in TV drama.

8:45 pm: Best Actress, Limited Series goes to Escape at Dannemora‘s Patricia Arquette. Her work as Joyce “Tilly” Mitchell was gritty and inescapably bleak.

8:54 pm: I wrote today about virtue signaling. And I present to you future Best Picture nominee "Crazy Rich Asians."

9:04 pmJustin Hurwitz wins Best Original Score for "First Man." Well earned.

9:07 pm: Best Song goes to Lady Gaga and “Shallow” wins for . Like the song, never said "Star" didn't have a decent soundtrack. I just can't watch Gaga speak. She always tries to overreach with her words. Nobody does fake humble quite like Gaga.
9:18 pmRegina King wins Best Supporting Actress for "If Beale Street Could Talk." She didn't nab that much-coveted SAG nom, but now must be reconsidered as a potential Oscar nom. She did make the claim that everything she produces over the next two years is going to “be 50% women.” Good luck with that. If Regina King is prepared to produce 50% female content then she must also know that choosing projects based on sex instead of monetary potential is a gamble.

9:32 pmMahershala Ali wins Best Supporting Actor for "Green Book." Well-deserved. Richard E. Grant ("Can you Ever Forgive Me?") would have been nice as well. And then *drum roll please* "Green Book" wins Best Screenplay. The SJWs are no doubt in a state of furious anger as we speak.

9:41 pm: "Sharp Objects" wins Patricia Clarkson a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress, TV. Loved the actress, didn't like the show which felt superficial and too full of itself.

9:43 pm GODDAMITT!! Christian Bale wins Best Actor in a Drama for "Vice." Great performance, but I want the "Green Book" Twitter haters to be triggered by as many wins as possible.

9:52 pmAlfonso Cuaron‘s "Roma" wins Best Foreign Language feature award. Shocking.
10:17 pmAlfonso Cuaron wins Best Director.
10:27 pmRachel BrosnahanThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Best Performance by an Actress, TV series, Comedy or Musical. "The Kaminsky Method" wins for Best TV series, Comedy or Musical.

10:48 pm: Olivia Colman  wins for Best Actress, Comedy or Musical for "The Favorite."
10:56 pm"Green Book" wins for Best film, Musical or Comedy. Let the SJW's go nutso.

11:06 pm: Despite being nominated six times, Glenn Close has never won an Oscar. Factor that into the equation as you calculate her chances for her great turn in Björn Runge’s "The Wife." She's won the Globe, Oscar might be next.
