Nicolas Pesce stunned more than a few audiences at Sundance with his horrifically hypnotic goth show. The story was disturbing, with a precisely constructive narrative that never let up in its dark, twisted surprises. This might be the best one of the bunch, it's that good.

We spoke to the writer-director about his absorbing gothic-horror fairy tale.
