In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robert Downey Jr. basically hinted that Avengers is the end of Tony Stark.
“I’m definitely a hang up your jersey before they boo you off the court type guy, just because I still have an appropriate fear of embarrassment. I ain’t him, I’ll tell you that flat out. There’s always a bit of a burn off period when they run out of call sheets for me. I’m just a f—ing actor. I’m just a guy who does have a very interesting past, who does not regret it, who wished to shut the door on it. I think that that translates,” says Downey, Jr.
Downey Jr. is already working on his post-Marvel projects, which sound promising to say the least.
“There’s all this stuff down the pike. We’re looking at another ‘Sherlock Holmes,’ we’re developing ‘Perry Mason’ for HBO. I still want to do ‘Pinocchio,’” says RDJ.
As for Marvel head Kevin Feig, he too was interviewed for EW's cover story and when asked about this being the end for most of the Avengers, he almost didn't leave much hope: “This this time is different. People need to be careful what they wish for. The notion of an ending, the notion of a finale, became very intriguing to us, in large part because you don’t see it that often in this particular genre.”
In other 'Infinity War" news: Dark Horizons took a look at AMC theaters’ listed runtime for the third Avengers movie, and at 156 minutes it will be the longest Marvel movie ever.
